How does it work?

At our events you will taste five premium wines and tackle wine-related challenges with guests to get to know each other better. At First Glass we're all qualified wine professionals (we really are, we went to Wine School!), so this is your opportunity to ask us everything you have ever wanted to know about wine

When the night draws to a close our unique Palate Pairing system© calculates whose taste buds you are aligned to, and a secret envelope reveals the perfect match in the room for you to share a bottle of wine with

 FAQs

  • We run three types of events, all with the theme of connecting over a shared love of wine. Our events are either for dating, friendship or networking. The event type will be listed on the booking.

  • Yes, we will be going nationwide soon..

  • Everyone tastes the same wines on the evening. You will rate the wines, and our calculator will let us know whose score you were most closely aligned to overall.

  • Most of our guests match between 1 - 3 people on the night. Some with more, some with less - it really depends on how your palates align.

  • Yes we do! Sign up to our mailing list / follow on Instagram to hear when new events are launched.

  • We run dating events for all age groups - the individual events will specify what the age range is for that event.

  • If you cannot attend on the evening we will try to transfer your ticket to another event where possible. Refunds are available 14 days in advance of the event (Eventbrite’s fees are non refundable)

  • We would love to, and if there is demand we can put an event on. Please contact hello@firstglasswineevents.com to register your interest

  • Venues and ticket sales vary, but on average we make available 22 tickets.

    Occasionally we do get last minute cancellations/no shows which can alter the number of guests in the room.
