How does it work?

At our events you’ll taste five premium wines while taking part in fun, wine-related challenges designed to help you get to know fellow guests. Hosted by fully qualified wine professionals (yes, we really went to wine school!), it’s the perfect chance to learn, ask questions, and enjoy great wine.

As the night comes to a close, our exclusive Palate Pairing Technology© reveals who in the room shares your taste and you’ll receive a secret envelope with your matches. Maybe you’ll share your second glass…..

 FAQs

  • We run three types of events, all with the theme of connecting over a shared love of wine. Our events are either for dating, friendship or networking. The event type will be listed on the booking.

  • Yes, we will be going nationwide soon..

  • Everyone tastes the same wines on the evening. You will rate the wines, and our calculator will let us know whose score you were most closely aligned to overall.

  • Most of our guests match between 1 - 3 people on the night. Some with more, some with less - it really depends on how your palates align.

  • Yes we do! Sign up to our mailing list / follow on Instagram to hear when new events are launched.

  • We run dating events for all age groups - the individual events will specify what the age range is for that event.

  • If you cannot attend on the evening we will try to transfer your ticket to another event where possible. Refunds are available 14 days in advance of the event (Eventbrite’s fees are non refundable)

  • We would love to, and if there is demand we can put an event on. Please contact hello@firstglasswineevents.com to register your interest

  • Venues and ticket sales vary, but on average we make available 22 tickets.

    Occasionally we do get last minute cancellations/no shows which can alter the number of guests in the room.
